For 29 years, we have opened our doors and our hearts to families who are often at the most frightening point in their lives - seeing their child through critical medical care. We are committed to providing our families with the normalcy of home while everything important in their lives is out of control. For many families, an evening meal together is a very special ritual. While many of us take for granted a home cooked meal, our guest families who often return to the House exhausted after a long day at the hospital, are immensely grateful for this simple gesture.

We ask that you consider joining us in our efforts at keeping families together when it counts the most by preparing a family dinner for approximately 40-45 people. Our House provides rooms for up to 38 families which may include siblings or other family members. You could commit to preparing a meal once a year or as often as you would like.

If you are interested, we would love for you to join our Family Meal Program. Please call the Family Dinner office at 414.935.6520 or email the coordinators at familydinner@rmhcmilwaukee.org to schedule a date.

On behalf of our families, we thank you for this kind and generous consideration.

Warmest regards,

Ann Petrie - CEO

Lunch 2 Go

Groups interested in doing the Lunch 2 Go Program are asked to purchase standard lunch items such as sandwich fixings, juice boxes, fresh fruit, granola bars, chips, dessert, paper lunch bags, napkins, etc. The night before, the group will set out the non-refrigerated items on the buffet table. They will prepare the sandwiches and label/date them and place in the refrigerator. We ask that groups prepare enough for 35-45 people.

Holiday Meals

Securing groups to serve dinners on holidays can sometimes be challenging.  A great option to be involved in our family dinners is to help secure a dinner to be delivered to the Ronald McDonald House on a holiday.  Rather than coming in to provide a dinner to the family, helping to have a meal delivered to the house is a great option to keep in mind.  Some great suggestions are Jimmy Johns, Panera, Pizza, etc.
