Milwaukee Ronald McDonald House volunteers give their time and talents to provide a home away from home for families with children receiving medical treatment.

House Volunteer

Duties: Perform a variety of light housekeeping duties, office work and check-ins and check-outs of our guest families.

Commitment:
• One year minimum
• Work a 3 hour shift every other week
(Monday-Sunday)
Shift Schedule:
9 a.m. – Noon
Noon – 3 p.m.
3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Requirements:
• Must be 18 years or older
• Good physical condition
• Pass background check
• Complete training
• Ability to take direction from RMH manager
• Dependable and flexible

Associate Volunteer

Program available for teens 14-17 years old. Associate volunteers perform the same duties as house volunteers except for the check-ins and check-outs of our guest families.

Van Driver

Duties: Transport guest families to and from the hospital, grocery store and complete other errands as needed.

Commitment:
• One year minimum
• Work a 5 hour shift monthly (Monday-Sunday)
Shift Schedule:
9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
5 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Requirements:
• Must be 18 years or older
• Good physical condition
• Pass background check
• Complete training
• Ability to take direction from RMH manager
• Dependable and flexible
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift a minimum of 15 lbs

Group Projects

Our House is expanding! Due to this expansion project, we are unable to accept your request for House specific group projects at this time. We will be posting specific projects as they become available. There are other opportunities for groups to help the families staying at the RMH. We are always looking for groups to provide a Family Dinner, Lunch 2 Go or weekend brunch for the families. Click here for more information regarding our meal programs.
