Little things can mean a lot...
Even the youngest daisy troop member can make the world a better place. Please collect pop tabs and donate them to the Ronald McDonald House. It’s easy and clean, unlike empty cans, they don’t need to be rinsed.
Since 2000, little aluminum tabs on the tops of cans have meant more than $210,000 to the Ronald McDonald House. Money raised from recycling pop tabs helps to provide a home away from home for families with hospitalized children. In 2011, only one third of our families were able to contribute the suggested $10 a night, but in reality, the cost is more than $100 per night. We are grateful for your support so no family is ever turned away for their inability to pay.
Here's how you can help:
-
Participate in Tab Toss Day on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at United Milwaukee Scrap at 3100 W. Concordia Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53216. Registered Girl Scouts will receive a patch recognizing their collection efforts.
- If you live in Northeastern Wisconsin or the upper peninsula of Michigan you may drop off your tabs at your local McDonald's restaurant. You may also bring your tabs to any Girl Scouts Service Center serving the Northwestern Great Lakes region.
