Home for the Holidays was a huge success ……thanks to Dave & Carol WKLH 96.5 for their commitment and generosity in raising nearly $35,000 for the Milwaukee Ronald McDonald House.  On the morning of December 21, Ronald McDonald House and WKLH engaged in a live broadcast event called Home for the Holidays, to raise awareness and some cash for the House. The event took place from 5:00 a.m. – 10 a.m., at the House. Dave and Carole WKLH delivered a program with information about our mission, the RMH history, services and programs, our important needs and the critical need for growth and much more.  A phone back was run by a dedicated team of volunteers from Kohl’s, a series of on-air interviews included 5 families who shared their stories and a surprise interview from baseball legend, Robin Yount.

Dave & Carol began raising funds four weeks prior to the event, every Wednesday an item from our Solid Gold memorabilia collection was auctioned off raising $4,150. During the Radiothon four exciting experiences were auctioned off raising $6,875. The media exposure was phenomenal. McDonalds promoted the event with a special tray liner one week prior to the event. Clear Channel generously donated digital billboard, delivering 211, 165 spots in four locations and Dave & Carol promoted the event for eight weeks.
